Equality in the Workplace courses

Available in East and West Midlands

This course aims to address the causes and effects of inequality in the workplace by challenging the stereotypes that can undermine solidarity.  It can be used as a tool for organising and bargaining. The course is designed to help reps tackle inequality in the workplace and fight for equal access to opportunities for all.
The course will cover:
·         Equality law – Equality Act 2010
·         Trade unions
·         Employers
·         Agreements and the role of the union rep in the workplace

Progress onto the: Equalities Diploma
The diploma is accredited by the National Open College Network, and each learner studies three modules from the following over one or two years:
·         Equality issues at work
·         Equality and the law
·         Working for equality
